Yeah, it's not what you think. On Owen's birthday, Nathan and I went to see "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" at the Mystique Theatre. Nathan's brother and sister in law have pretty big roles in the play. I don't know who has seen the play, but the songs are very catchy. I had seen the play before and ended up buying the soundtrack so I could listen to the songs when they got in my head. So, because we had seen the play recently, I had the songs in my head again and was listening to the soundtrack. Owen heard it and started asking questions. He found out that it was a play, that we had seen it recently, and that Ross and Kacey were in it. He was mad that he didn't get to go see it. So, I called up Kacey to see if there was a way we could go.
Owen and I ended up going last Saturday and it was great!! He loved it. Kacey is the narrator and at the beginning has a child come up on the stage with her. She sings a song to them and then they sit up on a pyramid and Joseph sings a song to them. She asked if Owen wanted to be that child. He was nervous, but he loved it (Thanks Kacey for letting him do that!!). Where we knew ahead of time, we had him dress up a little. He wore his black corduroys, white shirt and suspenders. So cute!! I'm so mad!! I forgot my camera!! After the play, he had quite a few people come up and tell him what a good job he did. Ross said that people that worked there didn't know that Owen was his nephew and were commenting on how cute he was. I would have to agree.
