Today, I got to give the lesson in Relief Society. I was SO nervous!! I've finally made it to the point where I can teach in my Sunday School class of about 10, but teaching Relief Society was a little overwhelming. Luckily, the ladies in our ward participate well and they helped me out a ton with the lesson. I just asked questions brought up in the lesson and they came up with great answers. Pretty much, I'm just glad that it's over.
When we got home from church, there was a car in our driveway. My sister had come to visit on her way back home. And she brought her husband and son. It was fun to see them!! I got to show off the downstairs and spend time with them. It was great to see them.
Tonight we have a fireside for the youth in the ward put on by the missionaries. I'm really excited about it. We had a meeting about it a week ago and the missionaries had some great ideas. I'm excited to see it come about.
I realized that I hadn't posted any pictures of the downstairs since before the floor was done, so I went down today and took some. In looking through the pictures, I realized that I had taken some pictures that I never posted.
This is a scripture bag that I made for my nephew for his baptism. I went looking for orange fabric, but my kids saw this fabric and talked me into getting it. I think it turned out pretty cute.
This is the only picture of the butterflies that worked out at all. It's still not the best, but it's okay. You can see the butterfly on the paper plate with the "tissue cookies" on it. We had to put sugar water in the tissues for the butterflies to eat. You can also see the paper with the cocoons and the red meconium. Apparently that is the extra color left over after the butterflies hatch. I liked the butterfly experiment. It was amazing to see.
Now, here are the pictures I took of the remodel today. You can see we are not done yet, but it's getting really close. I just need to buckle down and get the last few things done. We have the floor done, the painting, most of the trim up, the shelves built, most of the electrical done, all of the plumbing in the bathroom done, and the fixtures in the bathroom in. We still need to finish scraping and sanding the doors (we got them off of craigslist), paint the doors and trim, build and install the cabinets, build the countertop and have Matt coat it, put up baseboards, put up a handrail, put up rain gutters. Oh, and get rid of one of the dryer chairs. This is my playroom looking from the family room door.

The salon looking through the door between the salon and the playroom.
The wall with my dryer chairs (hopefully one will be gone soon) with the chimney off to the left.
The salon looking towards my station. The playroom door is off to the right.

Looking in to the bathroom towards the bathtub.
My toilet and the tub with the shower curtain closed.
My sink and mirror. My bathroom's so small I have to take pictures from the washroom, but I have two bathrooms now.
Here I'm standing in the bathtub looking at our utility room door.
And looking from the salon into the playroom. I love my new shelves. In the original house, there was a window there.
One of the last decisions we have to make is what baseboards to use. We have had water in our basement before, so we had Matt put the sheetrock up just a little and we're planning to use rubber baseboards just in case we get water. The plan is that they won't wick the water up into the walls and our sheetrockFawn

So, that's where we're at. I'm loving how it's looking, but I'm excited to start working and have everything in and done. I'm ready to be done with remodeling and on to doing hair. The more I do it, the more I love it.
1. I am grateful that my lesson is over. And that I have ladies in the ward that are willing to participate in the lesson.
2. I am grateful that it wasn't my week to teach in Sunday School, so I didn't have to teach two lessons.
3. I am grateful that Nathan was willing to let us crash his father/son day so we could go up to Island Park.
4. I am grateful that I got to see my sister and brother-in-law today. I loved it!! Even if it was just for a few minutes.
5. I am grateful that things are moving along on the remodel. I'm anxious to get it done.
