Today was a hard day, but a good day.  I have a lot to be grateful for.

1.  I am grateful that Nathan asked me to come out and help him measure and cut his stringers for his stairs.  I enjoyed being with him and we were able to have a good talk.

2.  I am grateful that the dirt bike accident I happened upon wasn't worse than it was.  But I'm also grateful that I was able to see that I can handle blood, larger amounts of blood than happen with just a few scrapes (people who grew up with me will know this is HUGE!!).  I'm not ready to be an EMT, but I know I could handle more than I thought I could.  I'm grateful to know that I don't lose my head when something happens.

3.  I am grateful that I have a husband that will tell me when it's time to get over something and admit that things will never be perfect and to make sure my priorities are in line.  It was a very timely discussion.  I'm grateful that we had it last night before I found out that my new floor is having problems.  I was able to tell Matt that we'll just move on for now and maybe later we'll fix it.  At least this one doesn't seem to be flaking off like the other one.

4.  I am grateful for my new purse.  It's awesome!!  Thanks, Nae!!  It makes me smile, plus it makes me feel so organized.  I even realized that a small soda bottle (the little Sprite bottles I got in Utah when Owen got sick) filled with water fits great in the big pocket along with everything else I need to put in there.  I love it!!

5.  I am grateful again for a good bike ride.  I am also grateful for a good friend that will go on shorter bike rides with me until I am feeling up to going on a longer one.  It feels great to get out and be active.  I'm grateful that the weather held out until after our ride.  I'm also grateful that Nathan took the time to go through my bike with me last night and oil, tighten, and pump everything up that needed it.
