A front shot.
Farther away front shot. I realized in that first shot you couldn't see the whole porch. I had to go under the pine tree to get the whole porch (you can see the branches hanging into my picture).
From the driveway.
Looking down the steps to the salon door (or doorway for now).
A closer look at the stairs.
A side view. I just have to say I am SO glad that we had them knock the retaining wall for the steps down. I felt kind of bad at the time, but it looks so much better.
The new view out my front door. Not so scary anymore.
Off to the right.
And to the left.
From the far right corner of the porch looking out at the whole porch.
And looking down into the stairwell from the porch. Yes, it is a high priority to get a railing up here quickly. That is quite a drop.
Today was a productive day in other ways as well. Actually, it started last night. Danny (head guy from the concrete company) came to talk to me yesterday, bring me a bill, and let me know that they were going to take down supports and finish things up today. I called Matt (door, etc. guy) to let him know and found out that we will be getting our doors put in tomorrow afternoon. Then, LeRoy (electrician) came out to look things over today and we found out that our breaker box will be put in on Thursday, plumbing should start by the end of the week, and HVAC should be end of this week or beginning of next week. Sounds like things will be moving right along. Hopefully I can keep up with it all and get everything coordinated. I have a new found respect for contractors after these last two weeks. And I'm afraid the respect will only get greater by the end of the adventure. Luckily I have great friends and contractors (sometimes both in the same person) to help me.
